Double Infrared Heating (Quartz and Ceramic)
The toaster oven respects busy lifestyles with its double infrared heating system, which uses near infrared heating (ceramic) to efficiently cook the inside of food and far infrared heating (quartz) to efficiently cook the outside of the food. The advantage of a quartz heating element is that it actually heats and cooks the surface of your food item, rather than only heating the empty air in the toaster oven which is what occurs on traditional toaster ovens that use coils for their heat source. Better yet, it provides instantaneous heat (from 250 to 500 degrees F), which eliminates the need for preheating--simply insert food and press the desired preset menu item, then wait for the reminder beep that indicates when the cooking cycle is complete.
Auto Cook Menus
The toaster oven's illustrated auto-cook menu offers six different cooking modes at the press of a button--Toast, Waffle, Roll, Pizza, Quick, and Hash Brown. Each mode automatically calculates the necessary cooking time for delicious results every time.
Select the Toast function to transform up to four pieces of bread at a time into fragrant golden slices just awaiting sweet cream butter, a drizzle of honey, or fresh preserves. An additional shade-control option allows you to select between light, medium, and dark--making it simple to please even the pickiest of family members.
Beyond toast, the toaster oven's Waffle and Roll presets quickly warm and toast frozen waffles or French toast sticks, bagels, croissants, rolls, baguettes, and other bread products, eliminating the need for pulling out frying pans or turning on the main oven and saving time and energy in the process. The toaster oven's Pizza setting transforms frozen pizzas up to 9 inches in diameter into warm, mouthwatering meals complete with perfectly browned and melted cheese and crispy crusts, while Hash Brown mode turns frozen potato wedges, hash browns, sweet potato patties, waffle fries, and other potato-based products into finger-licking goodness when paired with spicy mustard, Southern-style fry sauce, ketchup, or melted cheese.
Finally, and perhaps most versatile of all, the Quick mode rapidly reheats just about any leftover imaginable--from last night's crispy chicken cutlets or steak strips to a pile of roasted vegetables, a platter of parmesan meatballs, or fillets of salmon, tuna steak, and more.
Baking Tray
The toaster oven's rimmed baking tray accommodate a host of foods in small and large sizes, shapes, and pieces and also serves as a drip tray. The baking tray slides effortlessly in and out of the oven with a hot pad or oven mitt during the cooking process, and it cleans up easily by hand in hot, sudsy water between uses.
